Forest Therapy Individual Sessions

It is an evidence-based therapeutic practice that connects people to forest environments through gentle sensory-based invitations to achieve specified therapeutic healing goals guided by a therapist. The intention of Forest Therapy is to deepen one’s connection with the forest and reconnect or rediscover your authentic true self.

Our forest therapy sessions provide a unique and effective approach to wellness, allowing you to disconnect from the stresses of daily life and reconnect with nature for inner peace and healing.

  • Therapist Assisted
  • Sensory activities
  • Therapeutic goals
  • Rejuvenating experience

Though a walk outdoors is always wonderful, forest therapy requires full engagement with the environment. Permitting yourself to be present in nature provides many benefits of this experience. There are no rules for how to properly practice experiencing the forest in a therapeutic way. You can run or sit still. Soaking in nature in any form is beneficial. Its the spending time in the forest to achieve your healing goals is what counts.

While absorbing the forest, take the time to observe your surroundings. HillBilly Hiking: A Wellness Approach Guide & Journal is a fabulous companion to prompt and can enhance the experience of the delicate balance with self and nature. You're encouraged to take your time to notice and appreciate the smells, sights, sounds, taste and touch of nature. The brain learns and experiences through the senses and can create new, healthier neuropathways. with the help of the forest.

Because Forest Therapy is a uniquely personal experience, there are no set times, right or wrong ways to heal in nature.  A therapist can be booked as a guide for 50 minutes and then you are welcome to stay for the balance of the day should that be a desire. To deepen this practice, Lam says you may wish to meditate, practice breathing, or journal while absorbing nature.
